A Brightening Skin Care Routine in 5 steps

Brighter, more even-toned, radiant skin. Sound like your kind of skin goal? Us too! That is why we’ve given our Pigmentation range a make-over and renamed it as Brightening. This goal-orientated name does what it says, making it easier for you to choose the skincare that fits with your needs. It still works in all the ways you know and love; helping control the production of hyperpigmentation, and helping reduce the appearance of existing pigmentation.

This easy 5 step Skin Brightening routine is full of powerful, clinically-proven ingredients such as Niacinamide, Tetrahydrocurcumin, N-acetyl Glucosamine, Vitamin C, Mulberry & Licorice Root Extracts. With special mention to Alpha-Arbutin and Mandelic and Lactic Acids. Helping you achieve a more even skin tone and a glowy, radiant complexion.

What can I do to brighten skin?

In a skincare regime designed for more radiant complexion, reduced pigmentation and even skin tone, several essentials are important:

  • Exfoliation - key to a brighter complexion! Turn over discoloured skin cells, and make way for new, more even-toned skin
  • Antioxidants - such as vitamin C are well-known for their brightening power
  • Calming, anti-inflammatory ingredients to alleviate any forming pigmentation
  • Hydration and skin barrier support for resilience and all-round healthy skin

The La Clinica Brightening Routine contains all you need to target dark spots, help reduce the appearance of an uneven, patchy complexion and calm inflammation while keeping skin hydrated and healthy.

A skincare routine for brighter skin

Step 1: Cleanse

Brightening Cleanser

The Brightening Wash Gel is your glow-ifying cleanser containing Lactic and Salicylic Acid to start off your Brightening routine. It gently assists in turning over skin cells while ensuring skin is soothed with calming ingredients of Green Tea and Chamomile.

Step 2: A Weekly Exfoliating Peel

Brightening Correction Peel

Chemical exfoliants give an instant reset and glow and there is nothing better for dull, congested skin than the new Brightening Peel. Mandelic and Lactic Acid focus on the outer layers of the skin, perfect for those who normally find chemical exfoliants irritating. Even better, it is safe to use while pregnant. Read all the details on this radiance booster.

On clean skin, apply a layer on the face avoiding eye areas. Leave for 10 minutes then wash off with warm water and a face cloth. Follow with the rest of the routine! Once your skin is used to this chemical peel, you can amp up the frequency to 2 or even 3 times a week.

Step 3: A Serum

Brightening Serum Level 1Brigthening Serum Level 2

The Level 2 Serum features mega, pigmentation-fighting ingredient Alpha-Arbutin. Boosted with Niacinamide, Vitamin C, Mulberry & Licorice Root Extracts for extra brightening power, this level 2 serum really packs a punch on pigmentation.

Alternatively, the gentle Level 1 Brightening Serum still features Niacinamide, Vitamin C, Mulberry & Licorice Root Extracts for bright, glowy skin. But does not include Alpha-Arbutin which makes it pregnancy safe, a relief for those mama’s to be who are finding dark spots an unwanted part of the pregnancy journey.

Step 4: An Oil

Potent Vitamin C Oil

Vitamin C is known for its glowifying and skin-brightening effect. It is considered an excellent depigmentation agent and it also reduces redness and the chance of pigmentation even occurring due to its ability to inhibit the enzyme that produces dark-spot-inducing melanin. The Vitamin C Potent Antioxidant Oil is super nourishing and hydrating with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E as well as Boswellia Extract to calm and soothe skin. Apply after your serum.

Step 5: Moisturise

Brightening Moisture Cream

Finish off (don’t forget your sunscreen after, of course) with the Brightening Moisture Cream. It contains Sabiwhite, a potent antioxidant that works to slow down melanogenesis, which is the production of the melanin pigments. It helps to lighten brown marks, provides UVB and antioxidant protection and is anti-inflammatory, helping to even out skin tone, texture and give the skin luminosity.

The Final Takeaway

Remember, improving your skin takes time and consistency. Follow your skin brightening routine, ensuring you’re wearing sunscreen every day, and you should expect to see results in 4-6 weeks. Happy glowing!
