The lab at La Clinica has been hard at work researching, designing and formulating to bring to you a brand new product we know you’re going to love, perfect for stressed, unbalanced skin and to prevent the signs of ageing.
Â
Introducing the Rebalancing Oil, a light, dry-touch oil filled to the brim with nourishing goodness such as Squalane, soothing oils of Jojoba, Chia Seed and Hemp Seed, Hyaluronic Acid, Asyntra CBD-Alt (an active to soothe stressed skin) and the much-talked about Bakuchiol.Â
Â
A new-kid-on-the-block ingredient that has been touted as a ‘natural alternative to retinol’. Sounds good right? But how does it stack up against Retinol you ask? The Rebalancing Oil has been formulated with 0.5% Bakuchiol, which, when applied twice daily has demonstrated equivalent results to a 0.5% Retinol, when applied once daily (Dhaliwal et al., 2019). But unlike Retinol, Bakuchiol can be worn during the day, won't make the skin sun-sensitive, is gentle on sensitive skin types and can even be used while pregnant. Pretty, pretty good!
Â
Jam packed full of active ingredients that work to rebalance and renew dull and stressed skin, the Rebalancing Oil works to de-stress and calm skin. Bakuchiol provides many benefits such as reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation.
Â
Â
With Squalane to restore suppleness and prevent moisture loss, 10% Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) for extra brightening power, and helps prevent free radicals from developing in the skin due to daily external stressors such as UV. It also features a unique dehydrated Hyaluronic Acid suspended in a fatty acid which plumps skin and retains hydration that would typically be escaping. CBD-Alt works in a similar mechanism to CBD oil to help protect against stressed skin, strengthen the skin barrier and encourage a radiant complexion. Soothing oils of Jojoba, Chia Seed, and Hemp Seed nourish and calm skin for an all over rebalanced, evenly toned complexion. This oil is light and absorbs easily without weighing your skin down and wont leave a greasy residue on your face. Perfect for a dewy, summer glow.
Â
Squalane: Super hydrating and helps plump the skin
Vitamin C: Brightens, evens out skin tone, protects against free radicals
Bakuchiol: Reduces appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, loss of elasticity, brightens skin and speeds up collagen production
Dehydrated Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates, plumps and retains water in the skin
CBD-Alt: Reduces inflammation, de-stresses, encourages a radiant glow
Jojoba, Chia Seed and Hemp Oil: Soothes, nourishes, calms
CoQ10: Helps reduce damage of free-radicals, evens skin tone and reduces sun damage

As we’re heading into summer and spending more time outdoors in the sun, we need to be extra careful with our skin. Retinol should not be worn during the day and even when worn at night, increases the skin’s sun-sensitivity. If this makes you nervous about Retinol in summer, then Bakuchiol might be your choice for a summer alternative. With Bakuchiol, you’re also not restricted to night-only use, feel free to use The Rebalancing Oil day and night. As it is a light oil it should go after your serum and before your face cream or moisturiser. There are a lot of discussions questioning where to put an oil in your skincare regime but at La Clinica we think it depends on the oil itself. Heavier oils should go last but a lighter, easily absorbed oil should be layered before a moisture cream.Â
Â
Â
The Rebalancing Oil already contains ample Hyaluronic Acid and 10% Vitamin C so no need to pair with another Vit C or hydration product, instead try a Niacinamide serum such as the Vitamin Complex Serum. Finish with a moisture cream such as the bestselling Deep Hydration Moisture Cream. Even though Bakuchiol doesn’t make the skin sensitive to the sun, we always recommend finishing with sunscreen everyday.
