If you’re not using Hyaluronic Acid, you need to start and here’s why

Spoiler alert: it's plump, glowy skin.

Why use Hyaluronic Acid?

Undoubtedly one of the most ever-present and user-friendly ingredients in skincare, Hyaluronic Acid is loved by many for a reason. If you’re a skincare enthusiast, you’ll already be nodding along in agreement. It has the unique and powerful ability to hold 1000 times its weight in water, can bind water to skin cells and therefore infuse the layers of skin with moisture. Simply: it is amazingly effective at helping your skin stay hydrated and glowy.

How does Hyaluronic Acid work for your skin?

We are constantly losing water from deeper layers of the skin, this is a natural process (called Transepidermal water loss [TEWL]) but circumstances such as environment, stress, improper use of skincare and injury can exaggerate this. Losing excess water makes the skin dry, dull and lacklustre, no thanks. Here is where HA is so fascinating - when you apply it, it’s like you’re putting a sponge on the top layer of your skin, it stops the water escaping and holds it there. Keeping the moisture within so the skin is plumped, glowy and supple.

Choose from several Hyaluronic Acid options in the LA CLINICA range:

The Pure Hyaluronic Acid Plus Serum is a triple hyaluronic punch, containing three molecular weights. The lower molecular weight signals collagen production, the middle helps retain moisture, while the outer helps plump up skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and TEWL. Boosted with Niacinamide for an even skin tone and brightness, with peptides to aid in firming and skin repair and Squalene for skin softness.

The Hydrating and Healing Serum with it’s silky, lightweight texture is designed to promote wound healing, revive skin after compromising the skin barrier, or recover after laser or needling treatments.

La Clinica’s Re-Activation Nourishing Facial Oil contains our favourite powerhouse emollients, Squalane, Jojoba oil, Chia seed oil, Argan oil and Rosehip oil to name a few. Each of these working together to soften and moisturise the skin, but also provide anti-inflammatory and soothing effects, promote wound healing and support the skin barrier. It also contains a unique dehydrated hyaluronic acid suspended in a fatty acid.
