STAGE 2 - ACTIVE

Transform your skin and bring a dull complexion back to life with this exfoliating AHA / BHA / PHA moisturiser. The Resurfacing Active Moisture Cream is packed with endless benefits, targeting multiple skin concerns thanks to star ingredients Glycolic (AHA), Salicylic (BHA) and Lactobionic (PHA) acids, plus Vitamin C. Experience your brightest, best skin yet.

The three acids ensure your skin is attended to in multiple ways:

  1. Glycolic acid helps gently break down the bonds between the dull, dead cells on the top layers of the skin, making way for dramatically improved smoothness and radiance. Glycolic also helps reduce sun damaged skin, addresses rough and flaky patches, improves hydration, increases cellular turnover and diminishes the appearance of pigmentation. Not to mention AHA’s stimulate collagen production, helping skin feel firmer and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles.

  2. Salicylic acid focuses on clearing out and unclogging pores, targeting blemishes and congestion. Calming and anti-inflammatory it also helps with the redness that often comes with those angry, red pimples.

  3. Lactobionic acid exfoliates the surface layer of the skin and also works as a great humectant that helps hydrate the skin and keep it plump.

With the addition of Vitamin C to further help brighten and glow-ify and Niacinamide to help fortify the skin barrier and increase skin resilience.

FAQs

Is vitamin C cream good for your face?

Absolutely! This powerful antioxidant is a natural component of healthy skin, so applying Vitamin C topically has many benefits for the skin. In fact, when we’re young the Vitamin C levels in the epidermis and dermis are high, but naturally, deplete over time as we age. Luckily, incorporating the high strengths of this ingredient into your skincare regime can help to even out skin tone, reduce fine lines, and brighten the skin.

Which vitamin C cream is best for the face?

While there’s no one answer for this, Vitamin C face creams and serums in particular offer a host of skin-saving benefits. However, the effectiveness of topical Vitamin C application increases when you use products combined with powerful antioxidants such as Vitamin E as they provide added protection against free-radical damage. If you’re new to using Vitamin C, we recommend taking it slow with the amount that you apply - it’s an incredibly potent ingredient so you don’t need to overdo it.

What does vitamin C cream do for your skin?

This powerhouse antioxidant offers a number of beneficial properties that your skin will love you for. Firstly, it helps protect the skin cells from the damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure. And that's not all! Using a vitamin c face cream helps promote collagen production which can thicken the dermis, leading to firmer, fuller skin, and diminished fine lines and wrinkles. Say hello to youthful, radiant skin.

How can I use vitamin C on my face?

At La Clinica, we have a range of products containing Vitamin C, from serums (Essentials Vitamin C Ultra Serum, Essentials 30% Vitamin C Anhydrous Humectant Serum, Vitamin C Potent Antioxidant Serum) to moisture creams like Stage 1 Gentle Active Moisture Cream and Stage 2 Active Moisture Creams. Apply your Vitamin C Serums and/or Vitamin C Moisture creams directly onto cleansed skin using upward strokes. Plus don’t forget to add your sunscreen.

What is salicylic acid cream used for?

Topically, salicylic acid cream can be used to help alleviate symptoms of skin conditions such as acne and blackheads by exfoliating the skin, unclogging blocked pores, and reducing swelling and redness. This multipurpose ingredient is also used to help treat other skin conditions such as psoriasis.

What does salicylic acid do to your skin?

Salicylic acid is a peeling agent and belongs to a type of drugs known as salicylates. When applied topically to the skin, it helps the skin shed dead cells from its top layer – this skin may have become dry or scaly over time. It works to decrease redness and inflammation which then decreases acne breakouts from forming, as well as speeding healing.

How do I use salicylic acid cream on my face?

Salicylic acid face cream can be applied directly to the skin in the morning and night for optimum results. We recommend applying to freshly cleansed and dry skin on the face and neck, using upward strokes.

Is salicylic acid cream a steroid?

Yes. Salicylic acid is actually classified as a corticosteroid. The potent ingredient also belongs to the same class of drugs as aspirin is known as salicylates and is used to reduce swelling, redness, itching, and more. It has been used for years as a topical treatment for skin conditions such as acne.
