What is glycolic acid?

Glycolic acid is a chemical exfoliant and an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). It’s colourless, odourless and used commonly in skin care. Derived from sugar cane, glycolic is the smallest AHA which allows it to penetrate deep under the surface of the skin.
